Live in an intercultural community
Where will I live?
As a Doorstep student you’ll be part of Cornerstone’s international community, living in the college along with students from Cornerstone’s other programmes. Most students share a room with another student, usually of a different nationality, giving you a taste of intercultural living and helping you feel part of the community.
Accommodation is simple and basic with access to shared facilities: kitchens, bathrooms and lounges. All our rooms have internet access. The college also has a TV lounge, small gym, volleyball net and football pitch, BBQ/bonfire area and plenty of outside space. Bicycles are available for you to borrow and explore the local area.
Breakfast, lunch and a simple dinner are included in your accommodation fee and are all served in the communal dining room. At the weekend you’ll need to cook for yourself but the college provides basic ingredients and breakfast items.
Where is Cornerstone?
Cornerstone is located in a small, peaceful village in the south east of the Netherlands. Banks, supermarkets, doctors, a swimming pool etc. can be found just 3 km away in the town of Boxmeer. There is also a train station in Boxmeer with good travel connections.
Doorstep is a programme of Cornerstone, a Bible College in The Netherlands offering a range of programmes to help you train for mission. Taught in English, and with a strong focus on intercultural mission, our courses provide a combination of academic and practical modules, equipping you for cross-cultural work and preparing you to be more effective as you explore and follow your calling into the nations.
